Who Is Alexandra?
Alexandra Perry is an assistant professor of Leadership Studies and Ethics at the McDonough Center for Leadership and Business at Marietta College. Her research centers applied areas of ethics and leadership such as healthcare and disability; conflict and warfare; and organizational social responsibility. She is the managing editor of Theoretical & Applied Ethics, a peer-reviewed journal published by the University of Nebraska Press, and also a co-editor of a book series, Studies in Theoretical & Applied Ethics. She recently published an article on Leadership and Mental Health in the Journal of Ethics and Mental Health and has a book forthcoming on contemporary Japanese bioethics and leadership in Japanese healthcare.
Currently, she is completing a book which focuses on the leadership of social movements surrounding psychiatric diagnosis and treatment, and a project on how the decisions of political leaders during the World War II era conflict between Japan and the United States are presented in ethical terms through post-war historical accounts.
